My refrigerator contains more
bird food than I care to admit. I believe, along with most bird
owners, that nutrition is the key to a long lived and health bird.
However being an average working person it becomes difficult to
give my two feathered friends, Crayon and Eve, the variety of
foods that they deserve. Most foods will spoil during the day
and should not be left in food dishes for long periods of time.
I want them to enjoy nutritious foods with out them spoiling during
the day. I find it difficult to find a good amount of variety
in most stores. Or I find that I don't necessarily have the time
to do so. I was sitting at my dinner table eating Chinese take-out
, my birds drooling in my direction at food that they can't have
and came up with the idea of these recipes. Foods for our feathered
friends that can be given whenever, and that can be left in their
dishes through out the day.
